Is a Brazilian world music guitarist, percussionist and multi-instrumentalist who lives in Vancouver. For over forty years he has performed on concert stages throughout Brazil, Western Europe and Canada, as well as in the United States. He is active as a teacher, composer and recording artist.

Choro/chorinho trio offers the public the Brazilian popular music style and rhythm. Chorinho means “little cry” in Portuguese. The words “pe-de-cana” (foot of sugar cane) have two different meanings – from the root that makes the popular Brazilian liquor cachaça, to the person that likes the drink and uses it to help with digestion after a large meal of feijoada or barbequed meat. Zazueira brings together the classic of the Bossa Nova with the originality of the samba schools in modern variations such as samba reggae, samba rock and pop, giving the music a high energy of exciting flavor. Based in Vancouver, Sambata is a percussion school and musical ensemble that plays a powerful and unique blend of music drawing on the rich traditions of Afro-Cuban and Brazilian popular and folkloric music. Led by Paul Bray, Sambata delivers high energy, inspiring performances in parades, clubs and corporate events throughout the Greater Vancouver area.
